Homemade Aperol Spritz – Easy Recipe with Prosecco

Glass of Aperol Spritz with Aperol and sparkling water bottles behind it and orange pieces on a wooden board

I discovered Aperol Spritz while reading a magazine article, and I admit it was the white wine that caught my attention. 🙂 After that, I seemed to spot it everywhere: on bar menus and in ads for outdoor parties.

I tried it with a friend, and we both liked it so much that we declared it our cocktail of the summer. 😀 And that’s how this homemade version ended up on the blog.

P.S. There’s no ice in my homemade version in the photos. The recipe below includes it, even if it missed the photo shoot. 😁

Why Try This Recipe?

It takes just a few minutes to make, straight in the glass, with no special equipment. A roomy glass and something to measure the ingredients with are all you need.

It’s a simple option for an evening when you fancy a homemade Aperol Spritz. No bottle-juggling skills required. 🙂

A Few Helpful Tips

Use well-chilled prosecco and sparkling water. Ice helps keep the drink cold, but it shouldn’t have to do all the cooling on its own.

Choose a glass with enough room for both the ice and the drink. Stir gently and make each serving just before you’re ready to enjoy it, while it’s still bubbly.

The orange complements the drink’s flavor; a slice is enough, with no elaborate garnish needed.

More Homemade Drinks to Try

For days when you fancy something without alcohol, there are a few more combinations with citrus and fresh flavors on the blog.
